Our trust comprises two dedicated women's hospitals, including the busiest single-site maternity unit in the UK, delivering over 8,200 babies annually. We offer a full range of gynaecological, maternity, and neonatal care. Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) Mental Health Services provides innovative community and inpatient mental health partnerships for young people aged 0-25 years old.
Job DescriptionAs a Clinical Research Midwife, your key responsibilities will include:
- Working on the Generation Study, sequencing the genomes of 100,000 newborn babies
- Contributing to early intervention strategies for babies born with rare genetic conditions
- Collaborating with our research team to drive forward this groundbreaking project
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Two years post-registration experience, including 2 years in maternity or genetics specialties
- Registration as a Midwife or Nurse with the NMC
- Up-to-date knowledge of midwifery practice
We also welcome applicants with experience in clinical trials coordination, nursing research, and awareness of the research process.
