An exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to our expanding research midwifery team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Our portfolio of clinical trials is diverse and we have some very exciting upcoming projects. We have an amazing team with many opportunities for development, so come and be part of it on a 12 months fixed term.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for maximising recruitment into research studies within the Trust. This will include developing recruitment strategies, monitoring rates of recruitment, performance studies within the Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital. The post holder will ensure that any research undertaken safeguards the well being of research participants and is conducted to Good Clinical Practice and in compliance to the respective research protocol and UK/EU law.

  • Two years post registration including 2 years experience within maternity or genetics specialty
  • Registered Midwife. NMC Registered

  • Experience of clinical trials co-ordination, nursing research

  • Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of midwifery practice

  • Awareness of research process
