We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents with severe and complex mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, manage, and treat children, adolescents, and families with severe and complex mental health problems.
- Carry psychiatric responsibility for patients seen by psychiatrists within the CAMHS team.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Relevant higher degree (MD, PhD, MSc, or other additional clinical qualifications).
- MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Specific additional therapy training (CBT, systemic therapy, DBT, etc.).
