About the Role:

As a leading specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry, your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive developmental histories, observing children during sessions, and reviewing ADOS reports. You will formulate a diagnosis, provide feedback to families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering clinical excellence for every child and young person.

  • You will conduct thorough assessments, including autism evaluations, ADHD assessments, and developmental history reviews.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each child's needs.
  • Provide clear and compassionate feedback to families, including recommendations for local and national resources.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to DSM-5 criteria and report templates.

What We're Looking For:

  • A GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
  • CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred but not essential.
  • Expertise in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or ADHD assessments for children and young people.
  • Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal processes.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum.
