What Does This Role Entail?
As a key member of our dedicated culinary team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring that we deliver a consistently exceptional dining experience. Your efforts will help maintain the kitchen's sales, reputation, and profitability as outlined by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Your role will be pivotal in supporting the efficient and profitable management of the kitchen, aligning with both your personal goals and those of your team and the establishment.
Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work in various kitchen areas while strictly adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Key Responsibilities of a Junior Kitchen Chef:
As a Junior Kitchen Chef, you will be an integral part of our talented culinary team, showcasing a genuine passion for gastronomy and a drive to create, prepare, and present high-quality dishes that align with our establishment's offerings.
We uphold high standards, and as a vital team member, you will comply with all food safety regulations and practices that are critical in the culinary field.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery, BTEC HNC in professional cookery, or equivalent experience in the culinary industry.
- We seek a creative individual with a professional demeanor, capable of thriving under pressure, demonstrating flair, and possessing a refined palate, with experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent.
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer usage.
