Job Description: 2nd Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Second Engineer to join our team at Briggs Marine and Environmental Services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on ships, ensuring safety and efficient operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in safe operation and maintenance of ship's machinery. This includes maintaining engine room safety equipment, deputising for the Chief Engineer, and participating in bunker operations.

This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will also be responsible for organizing and managing seamen in the Engine room. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records, including the oil record book and Engine room log book.

Location: The position is based in the Kingdom of Fife, which offers a unique blend of urban and rural living.

Salary: Our estimate is that this role comes with a salary of around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
