Job Title: PE Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PE Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and supportive special needs secondary school in the Salford area.

About the Role:
  • Support the delivery of PE lessons and sports interventions to students with additional needs.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and teachers to implement sports sessions as a tool to aid engagement, motivation, confidence, fun, and emotional resilience.
  • Manage behavior and deal with challenging situations.
  • Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to students.
  • Be hardworking, collaborative, adaptable, resilient, patient, and able to persevere to help students make progress academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Requirements:
  • Some experience supporting in PE or coaching or mentoring teenagers in sports.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Two professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with full history from education until present.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
