PE Teaching Assistant Role in Salford

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PE Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and supportive special needs secondary school in the Salford area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in PE lessons and sports interventions
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and teachers to implement sports sessions
  • Manage behavior and deal with challenging situations
  • Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to overcome challenges and promote student progress
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting in PE or coaching/mentoring teenagers in sports
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for a new one)
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • 2 professional references checks
  • CV with full history from education to present
  • Legal right to work in the UK
About the School:

The school caters for young people in KS3 and 4, aged 11-19, with EHCPs for special needs including Autism, Learning, Sensory, and Communication needs.
