Job Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your sports skills and experience to motivate and engage young people with special needs. As a PE Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver sports sessions and interventions that promote physical activity, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver sports sessions and interventions to students with special needs
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement sports sessions and interventions
  • Manage behavior and deal with challenging situations
  • Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to students
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement sports programs that meet the needs of students
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting in PE or coaching or mentoring teenagers in sports
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one)
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • 2 professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full history from your education until present
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
