Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Children's Community team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist services to children attending mainstream schools with Speech/Language and communication needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Speech and Language Therapy, with experience of working with children and families in a community setting. They will be able to assess the needs of children, develop and implement specialist Speech and Language Therapy treatment, and provide advice to others regarding the management and care of children with communication difficulties.

The post holder will also provide some day-to-day supervision and peer review support to less experienced colleagues and students, including second opinions when necessary.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing specialist services to children attending mainstream schools with Speech/Language and communication needs
  • Assessing the needs of children and developing and implementing specialist Speech and Language Therapy treatment
  • Providing advice to others regarding the management and care of children with communication difficulties
  • Providing some day-to-day supervision and peer review support to less experienced colleagues and students
Requirements
