About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours a week). Reporting to the Managing Director, you will provide expert support to line managers in all matters related to HR, offering guidance and advice aligned with current employment legislation. You will be the primary HR contact for Cammax (40+ employees) with a dotted reporting line into the Group HR Director, who will provide guidance and support.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support to line managers, addressing terms and conditions, absence, performance, redundancy, and flexible working requests.
  • Evaluate adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, maintaining clear audit trails and ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Offer expert advice, supporting investigations, disciplinary, and grievance hearings within policy guidelines.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law, staying informed about changes and updates.
  • Ensure management teams are adequately updated on new employment legislation, providing relevant training and resources.
  • Support recruitment needs, collaborating with the talent partner to find suitable candidates.
  • Manage the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new starters.
  • Drive an effective onboarding and hiring process, working closely with management teams.
  • Evaluate and maintain all benefit policies for the business unit.
  • Manage payroll instructions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Communicate policies, address employee queries, and produce relevant paperwork.
  • Manage the talent management program for your business unit, identifying development opportunities.
  • Support staff development, managing training plans, liaising with training providers, and arranging suitable courses.
  • Prepare quarterly HR reports on recruitment, retention, and key trends within the business.
  • Participate in project work as determined by the HR Director and Senior Operations Director.
  • Conduct regular employee pulse interviews, analyzing results, and implementing recommendations.

About You:

  • Prior experience in a HR Specialist/Advisor role, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS systems, understanding their functionality and applications.
  • Essential knowledge of employment legislation and HR procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Ability to contribute to large projects with changing priorities, adapting to shifting circumstances.
  • Experience in corresponding and communicating with employees and management, developing effective relationships.
  • Proven ability to work within a constantly changing environment, remaining flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills, comfortable interacting with personnel at all levels.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally for collaboration events and meetings.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
