About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced A&E General Nurse to join our team in NHS Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to patients with dementia and associated symptoms of stress and distress.

Job Overview: As a Dementia Specialist nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and caring for patients with dementia, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of patient-focused care initiatives and shape the future of Mental Health Provision in NHS Highland.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and caring for patients with dementia and associated symptoms
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Conducting ward rounds and contributing to patient care planning
  • Providing education and support to patients, carers, and other professionals
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of patient-focused care initiatives

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to be an RMNH registered with the NMC in the UK, able to undertake duties without direct supervision. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will need to be committed to ongoing professional development and have a passion for delivering high-quality care to patients with dementia.

Salary: The salary for this role is estimated to be £38,890 - £44,503 per annum (dependent on experience), based on a 37-hour working week.
