**Job Summary**

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a highly effective Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid general TA role and some 1:1 work across Key Stages 1 and 2.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons.
  • Provide individualized support to students who require additional help.
  • Lead on interventions for all students, including those with additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to achieve academic and personal goals.

**Requirements**

  • Love working with young people and in schools.
  • Have good behavior management strategies.
  • Be a highly effective practitioner that moves students on with their learning during lessons.
  • Be organized, self-motivated, and manage their own workload/timetable effectively.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of safeguarding young people.
