About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT. As a Senior Chemotherapy Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of chemotherapy nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and administer chemotherapy treatments, monitoring patients for potential side effects and complications.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • 1st level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Degree in healthcare related subject
  • UKONS SACT Passport or NM6 995 Chemotherapy Administrations and Care
  • Post-basic qualification in cancer/palliative care ILS
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in cancer nursing, with a focus on chemotherapy administration and management.
  • Knowledge of various drugs and their interactions and side effects.
  • Knowledge of NMC code of conduct.
