Compliance Manager Job Description

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our Clinical Governance Team. This role involves a hybrid position, with the possibility of working on-site 3-4 days a week at our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and complete rigorous audits/inspections across Shaw healthcare settings registered with national regulators.
  • Liaise with Service Managers, operational management teams, and Shaw head office colleagues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Relay audit outcomes, set requirements and timescales for completion, and produce reports.
  • Report to the Director of Compliance and Governance and work closely with Compliance & Governance colleagues, operational management, and teams to drive continuous quality improvement and business development.
  • Maintain oversight and management of a caseload of regulated services, ensuring required audits are completed, monitoring levels of risk, and assessing incoming concerns.
  • Carry out audits in line with an agreed programme, observing and reporting on the well-being of people using the service, identifying and monitoring areas of non-compliance, and raising and responding to safeguarding concerns.
  • Take responsibility for following and progressing actions in relation to services of concern and liaise with other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the setting and achieving of organisational performance objectives, including both quantitative and qualitative measures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent analytical, clinical, auditing, and presentation skills.
  • Good working and research-based knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework and its significant influence on all registered settings.
  • Good experience in staff and audit management within health and social care.
  • Proven experience and qualifications within health and social care, including management certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Ability to collect evidence in an objective and measured manner to make informed decisions and judgments about the quality of care and service provision.
  • Positive, honest, open, and constructive approach when inspecting/auditing, delivering feedback, and completing reports.
  • Car driver and current license.
