The Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, directing, and completing rigorous audits/inspections across Shaw healthcare settings registered with national regulators
  • Liaising with individual Service Managers, operational management teams, and Shaw head office colleagues
  • Relaying outcomes of compliance audits, setting requirements and timescales for completion with Service Managers and operational management teams, and producing reports
  • Reporting to the Director of Compliance and Governance and working closely with Compliance & Governance colleagues
  • Maintaining oversight and management of a caseload of regulated services, ensuring required audits are completed, monitoring levels of risk, assessing incoming concerns, and ensuring records are kept up to date
  • Carrying out audits in line with an agreed programme, observing and reporting on the well-being of people using the service, identifying and monitoring areas of non-compliance, and raising and responding to safeguarding concerns
  • Following and progressing actions in relation to services of concern and liaising with other key stakeholders
  • Working with managers to contribute to setting and achieving organisational performance objectives
  • Preparing correspondence/reports in relation to specific issues raised about services

Requirements:

Requirements
  • Plan, organise, liaise and conduct Compliance Audits in all Shaw healthcare settings that are registered with CQC/CIW/Care Inspectorate & Healthcare Improvement Scotland
  • Provide relevant professional advice and analysis within corporate Compliance & Governance expectations
  • Maintain registration with NMC (when applicable)
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, guidance, policies, procedures, and best practice development
  • Good working and research-based knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework
  • Experience in staff and audit management within health and social care
  • Proven experience and qualifications within health and social care including management certification
  • Ability to collect evidence in an objective manner to make informed decisions about the quality of care and service provision
  • Car driver & current license
