About the School:
Our client is an independent specialist school in Lytham St Annes, dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to students with complex needs. We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team.
Role Description:
This is a temporary full-time contract initially until February, with potential for extension. The successful candidate will conduct assessments, prepare reports, and adapt therapy to meet the sensory and behavioral needs of children with ASD.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' communication needs, focusing on social communication and pragmatic language skills.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address the unique needs of each child.
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and parents to ensure seamless support for our students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy or a relevant field.
- Registration with the HCPC.
- Experience working with children with ASD and pragmatic language difficulties.
Remuneration:
The hourly rate for this position is estimated at £35-£40, reflecting the importance of this role and the level of expertise required.
