Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, United Kingdom BAE Systems Full time
Job Title: Reliability and Maintainability Engineer

Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £41,576 depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reliability and maintainability analysis and engineering tasks to influence the design and future sustainment of platforms and systems so that they are inherently supportable in their intended use within the constraints of the operation and environment.
  • Maintain an awareness of latest changes and developments in standards, international specifications, toolsets and recognised methods.
  • Contribute to broader technical reviews, integration activities, and planning events.
  • Provide technical R, M & T engineering guidance and advice internally and to external teams.
  • Contribute to ensuring the alignment between reliability and maintainability engineering, safety engineering and human factors engineering in any reliability analysis activities undertaken.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the principles of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Testability (ex maintenance background).
  • Experience of applying at least several of the following R, M & T engineering tools / techniques / approaches on complex programmes: Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), R, M & T Allocation, Prediction & Modelling of complex systems & Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
  • Good IT Skills, including MS Office but also experience working with digital engineering tools.
Benefits:

You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. You'll also have access to additional benefits such as flexible working, an employee assistance programme, Cycle2work and employee discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a major international combat air development programme during the design early lifecycle - influencing the "design for support" considerations of the core platform concept from a reliability point of view as well as eliciting and developing reliability requirements for the product. The role will evolve into the application of reliability analysis activities throughout detailed design and development of the product, and ultimately into operational and in-service phases of the programme.

This is a place where you'll be able to make a real difference. You'll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, rewards integrity, and merit, and where you'll be empowered to fulfil your potential. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and particularly from sections of the community who are currently underrepresented within our industry, including women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities and LGBTQ+ individuals.

We also want to make sure that our recruitment processes are as inclusive as possible. If you have a disability or health condition (for example dyslexia, autism, an anxiety disorder etc.) that may affect your performance in certain assessment types, please speak to your recruiter about potential reasonable adjustments.
