**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients on our 18-bedded Medium Secure Male rehabilitation ward.

The ideal candidate will have a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry and experience in forensic community mental health care and/or rehabilitation of forensic patients. You will work closely with local psychiatric services and other agencies to facilitate the transfer or discharge of suitable patients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide high-standard care to patients in accordance with national policy (CPA, NICE guidelines) and local policy (Clinical Model, Admissions & Transfers Policy)
  • Work closely with local psychiatric services and other agencies to facilitate patient transfer or discharge
  • Participate in follow-up with patients sent on trial or conditionally or absolutely discharged from the hospital

**Requirements**

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • CCT in Forensic Psychiatry
  • Experience in forensic community mental health care and/or rehabilitation of forensic patients
