Forensic Psychiatrist Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join our Community Team within Forensic Services at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
The ideal candidate will have experience in either Community Mental Health or Forensic Psychiatry, with a strong focus on providing high-quality psychiatric care to specialized community forensic patients.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for medical leadership, assessment, and management of patients on the community caseload, as well as contributing to the on-call rota for the wider Forensic Service.
You will have the opportunity to work with regional partner providers to reduce inequalities in the region and reduce admissions and length of stay to secure inpatient services.
Our team has exceeded commissioner targets for successful repatriation of patients into the local community, and we are embarking on an exciting project to remodel community forensic services to enhance our consultation model.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be expected to be approved as a Responsible Clinician or be willing to undertake training to obtain Section 12(2) MHA and will be expected to renew this approval according to agreed procedures.
