About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Multi-disciplinary Team on Seagrove Ward. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional care and support to individuals with mental health conditions under the supervision of qualified staff.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to provide collaborative and individualized patient care in a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist in reducing the use of restrictive interventions and promoting a culture of compassion and care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in nursing needs assessments and reviews as requested, under the supervision of qualified staff.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care (Recruits to the Nursing Bank will be supported to work towards completion of the Care Certificate)
  • An understanding of issues relating to the conditions of mental illness

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
