Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to adults in crisis, helping them to reduce their crisis and improve their overall well-being.

About the Role:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals in crisis, helping them to develop coping strategies and improve their mental health.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services, including telephone, email, and face-to-face support.
  • Assess and record client needs, developing personalized support plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • De-escalate difficult situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and meetings to ensure ongoing professional development and best practice.
Requirements:
  • Clear verbal and written English
  • Good IT and keyboard skills
  • Polite, assertive manner, ability to self-motivate
  • Passion for working in a client/customer-facing role
  • Knowledge of Mental Health First Aid
  • Interest and genuine concern for mental health, homelessness, and related issues
