Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, as well as providing financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and provide variance analysis and KPI reporting to the management team.
- Bank Reconciliation: Daily posting and reconciliation of bank transactions, and reporting of bank balances to the management team.
- Invoice Generation: Generate sales invoices for each project following receipt of payment certificates, ensuring that retentions and VAT are applied correctly to the invoice.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Financial Analysis: Work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director to identify weaknesses in the accounts systems and processes and suggest potential improvements.
- Cash Flow and P&L Forecasts: Assist the Finance Manager as required with the production of cash flow and P&L forecasts.
To be considered for this role, you must be studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or related sector. You must also have strong Excel skills, excellent communication skills, and a proactive and positive attitude.
