NDT Engineer Job

We are looking for a talented NDT engineer to join our team at Rolls-Royce. As an NDT engineer, you will be responsible for selecting the optimal NDT method and conducting tests on parts.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have exposure across various sectors, utilising Physics and Maths to find surface and internal defects in various materials. You will spend four years building practical and theoretical knowledge of X-rays (radiography), ultrasonics, eddy currents, magnetic particle inspection, and fluorescent penetrant inspection.

Your Responsibilities

  • Practical experiments, project planning, resource control, problem-solving, and gaining technical know-how
  • Learning how we use NDT in research and development along with state-of-the-art technologies
  • Completing a variety of placements across our business to gain practical experience in various NDT methods

Requirements

  • Three GCSEs including Maths and Physics at grade 6/B and English Language at grade 5/B
  • A Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma in an Engineering-related subject (including Further Maths element) at DDM
