Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people who have been in care and are moving towards independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a responsive and customized service to young people placed in their individual flat or shared house.
- Work in line with person-centered risk assessments and support plans to ensure the well-being and safety of young people.
- Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals by communicating effectively and actively seeking ways to improve the experience of young people in the service.
- Ensure continuous support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff, with a particular focus on the safety of vulnerable individuals.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as the police and Emergency Duty Team (EDT), to ensure the needs of young people are met.
- Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
- Flexibility in availability, as the role will include weekend work.
- Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to study towards this.
- Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle required.
