Part-Time SENDCO Opportunity in Retford

A passionate individual is sought to join a primary school near Retford, Nottinghamshire, as a part-time Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCO). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing targeted support to 10 pupils with varying needs, ensuring their education plans meet high standards.

The ideal candidate will have a qualified teaching background with SENDCO accreditation or the willingness to obtain. Experience in supporting SEND pupils within primary education is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits. Located in the charming countryside of Retford, our schools pride themselves on fostering a warm and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on all SENDCO duties, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Develop and monitor Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring compliance with SEND legislation.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment within a small, close-knit school community.
What We're Looking For:
  • A qualified teacher with SENDCO accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
  • Proven experience in supporting SEND pupils within primary education.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • A passion for enhancing education opportunities for children with additional needs.
  • Have or be willing to process an enhanced DBS certificate.
