Job Title: Facilities Technician

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the provision of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to building services, fixed plant, and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on building services and fixed plant.
  • Conduct reactive repairs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment such as CET, fuel, Adblue, and tanking facilities.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, drainage, and water distribution systems.
  • Service and repair heating, lighting, and ventilation equipment.
  • Work on specialist plant utilizing vacuum and compressed air systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC operated systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Electrical qualification.
  • Good understanding of PLC operated systems.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work afternoon and evening shifts and be on call one week in four.
  • Full UK driving license.

  • A competitive salary of £40,516 per annum (rising to £44,496 after 12 months).
  • A 35-hour working week with afternoon and evening shifts.
