About the Role

Hartford Care is seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to assist the Home Manager in the clinical governance and management of our nursing home. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest possible standards of care are delivered to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Home Manager in the clinical governance and management of the nursing home
  • Supervise and develop a large team of staff to deliver exceptional care
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards through monitoring and practical support
  • Stand in for the Home Manager in their absence
  • Work every other weekend and participate in on-call duties every other week

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with an active PIN number
  • Previous management experience within a nursing environment
  • Previous and recent management experience within a nursing home setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and NMC Code of Conduct
  • Strong understanding of the principles of Person-Centred Care
  • Recent experience and knowledge of dementia care
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise, motivate and develop a large team of staff
  • Robust organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with residents, families, stakeholders and other relevant bodies
  • A flexible approach to working hours

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ/RMA/Diploma level 5 or equivalent management qualification
  • Experience in delivering internal training for staff members
  • A sound grasp of business and operational management within a large organisation
