Clinical Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team. This role plays a vital part in the day-to-day running of our care home, ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care tailored to their individual needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Home Manager in overseeing clinical governance and management, including supervision and daily operations.
  • Contribute to operational and financial aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards through ongoing monitoring and practical support.
  • Champion clinical governance practices on a daily basis, ensuring all nursing and residential care align with evidence-based approaches and current industry trends.
  • Provide hands-on clinical care and participate in general RGN or care shifts as needed.
  • Step in for the Home Manager when required, assuming full responsibility for their duties in their absence.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, fostering a positive and supportive work environment for our dedicated staff team.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Registered Nurse qualification with an active PIN number.
  • Proven management experience within a nursing environment, including recent and relevant experience in a care home setting.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Strong IT proficiency.
  • A comprehensive understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards and the NMC Code of Conduct.
  • In-depth knowledge of Person-Centred Care principles and recent experience in dementia care.
  • The ability to lead, supervise, motivate, and develop a large team of staff members.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to work effectively under pressure.

Desired Qualifications:

  • NVQ/RMA/Diploma level 5 or equivalent management qualification.
  • Experience in delivering internal training for staff members.
  • A strong grasp of business and operational management within a large organization.
