Job Summary

McLaren F1 Team is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at the McLaren Racing Composites facility in Woking. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for participating in the build and assembly of Formula One cars, working across multiple functions to ensure high-quality car assemblies, components, and support equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • To participate in the build and assembly of Formula One cars, working across multiple functions to ensure high-quality car assemblies, components, and support equipment
  • To produce parts 100% to engineering drawing specifications
  • Ensuring all parts conform to specific instruction sheets and quality standards
  • Inspecting completed components for accuracy and quality
  • Trimming and assembling carbon fibre components to exacting standards
  • Assembling new car parts, including servicing items from race and tests
  • Preparing parts for NDT inspection
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency and productivity

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and possess relevant engineering skills background
  • Good practical skills, with experience of trimming and assembling carbon fibre essential
  • Problem-solving skills, with ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Basic PC literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Estimated Salary Range
