About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to lead our maternity services as Head of Midwifery. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and management, with a deep understanding of governance and assurance mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of maternity services strategies
  • Manage and motivate a team of midwives and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to women and their families
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless pathways of care
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to achieve service goals
Person Specification

We are looking for a midwife with:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Master's degree or equivalent level of experience in a highly specialized role
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of staff management and conflict resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
