Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our team. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in providing excellent patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide wound care and non-complex dressing services to patients
  • Remove stitches and perform NHS Health checks, weight monitoring, and Long-Term Condition monitoring
  • Provide lifestyle advice to patients and make necessary referrals
  • Perform ECG, phlebotomy, and administer B12 injections under PSDs signed by GPs
  • Administer annual influenza vaccinations/pneumonia under PSD (training can be given)
  • Urine dipstick testing and BP monitoring, including 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
  • Injections, including B12, within level of training
  • Care plans and re-stocking of clinical areas, maintaining stocks and keeping clinical areas clean
  • Maintain and order clinical supplies and health

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a GP Practice is essential
  • Phlebotomy certification is desirable
  • Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) is desirable
