Director of Science Education

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Science Department to join our team at St John Henry Newman Catholic School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Science department, comprising specialist teachers in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for Science education and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the Science curriculum, leading staff development, and ensuring that our students receive an excellent Science education.
The Science department is a strength of the school, and we are committed to maintaining this high standard. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Deputy Headteacher and other senior leaders to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Science department and develop and implement the Science curriculum
- Develop and deliver staff development programs to improve teaching and learning

- Ensure that our students receive an excellent Science education
