We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technician Apprentice at the University of Cumbria. As part of our Institute of Health, you will provide technical support to a wide range of programmes, including Nursing, Paramedic Practice, and Diagnostic Radiography, across multiple clinical skills laboratories at our Lancaster campus.
As a Technician Apprentice, you will be enrolled on the Level 3 Higher Education Assistant Technician course, offered by CSR Scientific Training Group and delivered online. You will also receive training in equipment and technology used by our Health programmes and be mentored by senior technicians within the team.
Upon successful completion of your training, you will have gained the skills and knowledge to pursue a successful career as a teaching technician supporting Healthcare programmes within the Higher Education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to programmes across multiple clinical skills laboratories
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programmes
- Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure effective equipment and technology use
