About the Role

As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities that promote the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of our residents. Your focus will be on creating a safe and engaging environment that fosters meaningful interactions and a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
Support with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
Establish links with the local community to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in everything you do. Our ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, verbal and written, and a positive attitude toward older people. You will also have a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events, and have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting. A driving licence and certain years of driving experience are also required.
