Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CT Rotational Radiographer to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to a varied caseload.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
  • Aware of MRI safety in line with local rules.
  • Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
  • Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Participation in General x-ray.
  • Participate in on call rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation).
About Us

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital is a state-of-the-art hospital located in the heart of London. We offer a wide range of medical services, including cardiac services, orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services. Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms, Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
  • A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).
  • Relevant registrations.

Experience

  • Be experienced in a wide variety CT scans including cardiac.
  • Post registration experience.
