Senior Childcare Specialist

As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with foster carers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our looked-after young people.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is for an experienced social worker who shares our passion for fostering and making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As a Supervising Social Worker, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert guidance and support to foster carers, helping them navigate complex situations and develop effective strategies for supporting the needs of the young people in their care.
- Collaborating with social workers and other professionals to ensure seamless transitions and continuous support for our young people.
- Developing and implementing individualised plans that cater to the unique needs of each child, promoting their emotional, physical, and educational well-being.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- At least 2 years of post-qualifying experience in fostering or family placements, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and achieving outstanding results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with foster carers, social workers, and other stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the Children's Act and NMS Fostering Standards.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks efficiently, and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
