Job Title: Fleet Specialist (Driver/Mechanic)
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Specialist to join our team in Northampton. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles, either at our warehouse locations or on-site in the field
- Diagnose and repair vehicles that are not functioning, and suggest repair actions to be taken
- Assist in receiving, packing, and deploying new vehicles and batteries arriving at the warehouse, as well as recycling and disassembling vehicles
- Run efficient vehicle logistics, optimizing routes and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ease the workload and minimize vehicle downtime
- Re-distribute vehicles from low-demand areas to high-demand areas, and re-park vehicles parked incorrectly
- Search for and collect vehicles in need of transportation back to the warehouse
- Execute battery swap tasks in the streets of your city
- Ensure our vehicles are deployed in a safe and compliant manner, and continuously evaluate and gather in-field insights to improve vehicle availability, parking, and overall rider safety
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points for minor offenses and no major offenses, and meet the requirements for our e-Van insurance
- In-depth knowledge of your city and experience driving in your city
- Responsible team player who can manage tasks alone and work well together in a group
- Ability to motivate others and share knowledge within the team
- Pragmatic problem-solving mentality that executes tasks, finds solutions, and works hard to reach team targets and OKRs
- Ready to navigate your city in a van under any weather and traffic conditions
- Ability to react calmly to stressful situations (poor parking, traffic...)
- Physical condition that allows you to carry heavy loads
- Flexibility to work shifts, including possible shifts during nights and weekends
- DBS check may be required for this role
