Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assembly Technician to join our team at Ricardo's Leamington Spa site. As a Senior Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in supporting a team of assembly technicians to deliver high-quality gearboxes and axles to meet customer requirements.

  • Work closely with the team leader to plan and prioritize tasks to ensure maximum productivity and meet deadlines.
  • Support a productive team to deliver monthly build targets to a high-quality standard.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the assembly line or product range.

Essential Technical and Professional Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Expected to be on site at Ricardo's Leamington Spa site 5 days per week.
  • Permanent day shift role.
  • May be necessary to support customer meetings.
  • Minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above).
  • Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship or have relevant experience; further vocational qualifications are an advantage.
  • Assembly and/or end of line test experience of complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Clear demonstration of technical knowledge/expertise.
  • Ability to use measurement equipment such as vernier, micrometer, etc.
  • Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills - a solid working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills; is self-motivated and proactive.
  • Understanding of automotive quality control processes.
