Job Title: Senior Test Technician

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Technician to join our team at Pertemps Bond. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our hydraulic manifold assemblies and cartridge valves.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the testing of various manifold assemblies, cartridge valves, and customer returns.
  • Prepare parts for testing by populating with hydraulic fittings, connecting hoses, gauges, and other equipment.
  • Test hydraulic manifold assemblies and cartridge valves using test rigs and procedures, and supervise junior technicians in these tasks.
  • Repair and test customer returns, including disassembly, cleaning, and replacement of parts, and testing to data sheets or test specs.
  • Clean and inspect parts to ensure they are free from defects and contamination.
  • Assemble parts to drawings, including the assembly of cartridge valves and hydraulic manifold assemblies.
  • Perform light warehouse duties, including the preparation of parts for processing at external suppliers.
  • Maintain a log of overtime hours worked and submit to the Production Manager for authorization.
  • Attend training courses and maintain knowledge and skills required for duties, including product training and visiting parent company facilities.
Requirements:
  • Assembly and manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with hydraulic testing, hydraulic couplings, hoses, and components.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic drawings and circuits.
  • Use of gauges and Quality Procedures ISO9001:2008.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and test instructions.
  • Quality control and attention to detail.
Desirable:
  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Forklift license.
  • Use of heavy lifting equipment/slinging.
  • Full driving license.
