About the Role

Soul Assembly is a pioneering games developer at the forefront of XR technology. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team and contribute to the creation of world-leading innovation in software and VR hardware.

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will be responsible for helping us explore, create, and deliver cutting-edge gameplay mechanics and game systems for our next VR game. You will work closely with our talented designers and artists to bring the game to life for the player.

We're looking for a pragmatic problem solver with a strong background in C++ development and a good understanding of Blueprint. You should have a comprehensive understanding of combat design, including player/enemy interactions, encounter design, enemy design, and AI. Experience with Gameplay Ability System (GAS), State Trees, and Unreal's animation system is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement gameplay mechanics and game systems
  • Collaborate with designers and artists to bring the game to life
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies on new platforms and VR headsets
  • Prototype and iterate gameplay mechanics and game systems
