Senior Clinical Oncologist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Oncologist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months, providing full-time cover with 10 sessions per week. The successful candidate will be working within our established oncology department, offering a range of tumour types services.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for:
- Attending consultant-led out-patient clinics, undertaking related admin and chemotherapy prescribing duties
- Supervising SHOs and ward patients
- Reviewing patients attending for chemotherapy and radiotherapy, as required by nursing or radiography staff
- Teaching SHOs and medical students
- Involvement in clinical governance and audit activities
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Full GMC Registration
- MRCP or equivalent qualification
- Entry on the Specialist Register as a clinical oncologist or eligibility for entry within 6 months
- Higher Qualification in Medicine or Surgery
- Clinical Experience in relevant tumour sites
The annual salary for this position ranges from £105,504 to £139,882, depending on experience.
