About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Budwood, a leading provider of residential care and support services for children and young adults with emotional behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to our young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small team to deliver individualized care packages and support plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the safety and well-being of our young people.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Understanding of the issues that face young people in care, including emotional behavioral difficulties and attachment disorders.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including sleep-ins, and to cover sicknesses and annual leave.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and to accept direction and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with our young people and their families.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or a related field, or be willing to work towards a required qualification.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car, as this role will involve traveling to our homes and other locations.
