Overview

Screwfix is a leading retailer in the UK, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a DC Outbound Planner. In this role, you'll be responsible for the outbound flow of stock from our distribution centers to our stores, ensuring maximum utilization and delivering outstanding store service and first-class availability and depth for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize outbound ordering, prioritization, and capacity utilization.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams, retail operations, and 3PL planning teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage key internal relationships and escalate issues to the Line Manager as needed.
  • Balance operational efficiencies with business priorities, championing the customer at every stage of the process.
  • Develop relationships with 3PL colleagues to resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Build and distribute complex reporting to identify, explain, and predict future opportunities and challenges.
  • Maintain a database of store information to support the wider supply chain team.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and commercial data.
  • Experience with Excel and numerical competence.
