Job RoleWe are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Nevilles Court. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our residents to maintain their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Nurse in Charge/Manager to ensure that care staff are carrying out delegated tasks to a high standard.
- Assist in meeting the personal needs of residents, promoting independence and dignity.
- Contribute to the assessment of need for each resident, developing and carrying out individual care plans.
- Assist in carrying out risk assessments and ensuring that all risk assessment proposals are implemented.
- Take responsibility for Health & Safety issues, reporting any dangers to self and others.
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and other physical disabilities.
- Prepare and serve meals, assisting residents as needed.
- Inspect, mend, launder, and iron residents' clothing, or supervise them as necessary.
- Answer the door and telephone, greeting visitors appropriately.
- Assist professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, and chiropodists, as needed.
- Read and write reports, participating in staff and resident meetings, and training activities as directed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Level 3 Safe Handling of Medication Certificate
- Medical qualification and experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The shift pattern is predominately nights, covering x3 shifts one week and x4 shifts the following week on a rotational basis.
Hourly Rate: £12.25 per hour
