About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Care UK. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise your shift, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Case manage residents and liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to create and deliver effective care plans.
  • Administer and record medication, maintaining accurate records and adhering to protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate them.
  • Work alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, promoting independence and activity.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and improve services, ensuring resident-centered care.
  • Provide a professional and inclusive approach at all times, promoting a positive and respectful environment.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in health and social care is desirable, but not essential.
  • You should be well-organized, IT literate, and able to allocate and delegate work effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise others, with a good understanding of care planning processes.
  • Experience in administering medication is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • Above all, you should have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.
