Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking 2 highly motivated Senior Support Workers to make a difference in the lives of adults detained within three Nottinghamshire prisons (Whatton, Ranby, and Lowdham) and approved premises.
The role adopts a strength-based approach to fulfilling our statutory obligations under The Care Act 2014 by linking and working directly with the prisons and approved premises to provide equivalent care to individuals.
A good understanding of the relevant legal frameworks and promotion of human rights is essential. Experience of working with individuals with multiple disadvantages is also required, as well as knowledge of reablement and risk assessment/risk management.
You will be required to complete HMPPS vetting alongside an enhanced DBS. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are necessary for this countywide role.
In return for your commitment, you will receive a full induction, regular supervision, and training opportunities to support your professional development in this unique area of work.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a compassionate, resilient individual who can think creatively in supporting people.
