Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and associated social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
About the RoleYou will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to identify the needs of students and develop strategies to support their engagement, attainment, and life chances. Your role will involve:
- Providing individualized support to students with SEN and SEMH challenges
- Developing and implementing behaviour support plans to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support
- Identifying and escalating risks and needs to ensure student safety and well-being
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to build confidence and motivation in students
- Approachable and able to build robust and effective relationships with students
- High levels of empathy, caring, and compassion
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work
As a Behaviour Support Assistant with Academics Ltd, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with vulnerable students and develop your skills in behaviour support and education.
