Job Title: Learning Support AssistantAbout the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive educational community in Chesham. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Classroom Learning: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive.
  2. Provide Individualised Support: Offer one-on-one assistance to students with additional needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
  3. Encourage Positive Behaviour: Support the management of classroom behaviour by promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Assist with Learning Activities: Help prepare learning materials, assist during lessons, and lead small group sessions when required.
  5. Promote Well-being: Create a nurturing environment that encourages the social and emotional development of students.
Ideal Candidate
  1. Experience in Education or SEN Support: Prior experience as an LSA or working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  2. Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, ensuring a collaborative approach to learning.
  3. Adaptability and Patience: A flexible and patient attitude is crucial, as you will be working with students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
  4. Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teaching staff and other LSAs to support student learning.
  5. Passion for Education: A genuine interest in helping students reach their full potential and promoting a positive learning environment.
