About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Manchester. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people with SEMH needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH challenges, promoting positive outcomes and improved well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, minimizing the risk of challenging behaviour.
  • Provide academic support in Maths, English, and Science, adapting to the needs of students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Work flexibly across mainstream classrooms, alternative provisions, or in one-to-one settings, responding to the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and reporting of student progress, helping to inform effective support plans and interventions.
